The Florida Rights Restoration Coalition is committed to removing Florida's civil rights ban, which is imposed on citizens with past felony convictions.

Florida is one of only three states that strip all individuals with past felony convictions of their civil rights, including their fundamental right to vote, even after completion of their sentences.

Floridians with past felony convictions lose not only the right to vote, but also the right to serve on a jury and to hold public office. Restoration of civil rights is also necessary to obtain certain occupational licenses.

Close to one million Floridians are affected by this civil rights ban. We hope that you will find useful information on this site and you will share it with those that you care about.

Governor Crist Issues RCR Executive Order

Read Governor Charlie Crist's recent Executive Order, the press release, and the ACLU of Florida's press statement in response to the Order.
Read the FRRC's letter to Gov. Charlie Crist requesting that he direct the Office of Executive Clemency to include a Florida Voter Registration Application with the certificate of Restoration of Civil Rights that is sent to individuals whose rights have been restored.
